The large hexagonal head type is the same as the ordinary hexagonal head thick bolt, the twisted shear bolt head is similar to the rivet head, but the twisted shear thread end has a plum clip head and a ring groove that can control the tightening torque, this difference needs to pay attention to.
One bolt connection pair includes three parts: bolts, nuts and gaskets. The construction and arrangement requirements of high-strength bolts are the same as those of ordinary bolts. Then must meet the specification to use, the large hexagon head can only use 8.8 high strength bolts, torsion shear high strength bolts can only use 10.9 high strength bolts.
The pretension of the high strength bolts of the steel structure is achieved by twisting the nut. The torque, corner, or twisted bolt tail plum head method are usually used to control the pretension.
There is currently a special wrench that displays the torque to achieve the necessary overtension value through the relationship between the measured torque and the bolt tension.
